Signature Cascara Jingle Wedge
I have been working with Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian artists for many years. It has been a challenge to translate the sounds of world music instruments to the drum kit. The "Cascara-Wedge" is the answer. This instrument provides the wood stick sound
that is associated with so many different rhythms and instruments from all over the world. The Cascara-Wedge can be added to any drum to expand the pallet of sounds available on the drum kit.
The "Wedge" series compliments any drum kit. Slotted mounting brackets allow for easy adjustment to several diameter drums with various lug configurations. Felt shock mounting helps reduce sympathetic vibration on the "Jingle" version of the wedges. This keeps the jingles from ringing until the Wedge itself is struck. Russ Miller's musical versatility has led to the inception of the Wedge series. His vast experience in studios and on the road helped bring these ideas to life. The "Wedge Series" makes a whole new pallet of musical colors available to the drum kit player.
