The Commandments of R&B Drumming
Russ' second book with Warner Brothers is in collaboration with R&B drumming great Zoro. This book is an extremely in-depth study of R&B drumming from Soul to Funk and on through to Hip-Hop. Russ helped Zoro organize the materials and co-wrote some of the sections such as a chapter on playing with loops. Russ also produced the drum recordings of the examples and the play-along songs. The CD is over 73 minutes long and features 80 examples from the text as well as three complete songs mixed with and without drums.
